General Information

What is included in the registration?
A one day registration includes admission for one person to the full conference agenda on one of March 1 or March 2. A two day registration includes admission for one person to the full conference agenda on both days of the event. A unique Zoom link will be sent to you shortly before the event begins.

What is the time zone for Early Years 2022?
Early Years 2022 will be organized from Vancouver. As such the official time zone for this conference is Pacific Standard Time (PST).

Can I submit an abstract?
As a result of the change in format (from in person to virtual), abstracts are not being accepted for the Early Years Conference 2022. Please contact Amy Mullis for more information or if you have any questions about this.

Will there be exhibitors?
As a result of the change in format (from in person to virtual), Early Years Conference 2022 will not host exhibitors or a marketplace. Please contact Amy Mullis for more information or if you have any questions about this.

Will there be a poster session?
As a result of the change in format (in person to virtual), Early Years Conference 2022 will not include a poster session.

Registration

What is the price to attend?
Single-day C$75 plus tax
Two days C$125 plus tax

Can I attend just one day?
Yes. The single day rate is C$75 plus tax. You will be asked to select your day of choice on the registration form.

I registered for one day but now wish to attend both days.
This is not a problem. We are happy to assist you with updating your registration.

I registered for two days but need to cancel one of the days.
This is not a problem. We are happy to refund your two day registration fee and update your registration. 

I need to cancel my registration completely.
Full event cancellation requests must be received in writing to earlylearning@ubc.ca by February 22, 2022. Participants will receive a full refund up to and including February 22, 2022. No refunds will be made for cancellation after February 22, 2022. If you are unable to attend the conference, you are welcome to transfer your registration to a colleague.

Can I transfer my registration?
Yes. If you are unable to attend the conference, you are welcome to transfer your registration to a colleague. 

Is there group registration?
Unfortunately not if you are using a credit card for payment.  Please contact earlylearning@ubc.ca for more information.

How will I know my registration was successful?
You will receive a confirmation email soon after a successful registration. Please contact earlylearning@ubc.ca if you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of your registration. Please note that the HELP Office will be closed from December 17 through January 4, 2022. The ECY team will respond to emails upon their return on January 4, 2022.

Who do I contact if I have trouble with registration?

Cancellation Policy

No refunds will be made for cancellation after February 22, 2022. If you are unable to attend the conference, you are welcome to transfer your registration to a colleague. Please contact earlylearning@ubc.ca for more information.

Professional Credits

Participants attending the conference will receive a certificate stating 12 hours of educational instruction. Please check the website for updates on accreditation.

Technology

On which platform is the Early Years Conference 2022 being hosted?
Early Years 2022 will be hosted on a Zoom platform. 

When will I receive the instructions for attending the virtual event? 
Please watch for emails announcing session selection, speaker updates, reminders, and other important information about the event. Zoom links will be sent a week prior to the conference dates.
